Shalewa Jewellery was founded by Award winning jewellery designer and entrepreneur Sasha Boyo in 2006. Sasha studied Art and Design, Silversmithing and jewellery Design at London Guildhall University within the Sir John Cass Department of Art. Sasha’s collections are inspired by African and Celtic Art, Sasha makes innovative jewellery using sterling silver and Perspex, and she incorporates West African cloths and kilt into her designs to reflect her African and celtic cultural heritage using traditional jewellery making methods. Sasha was a winner of the Bright Ideas 2008 award programme and a runner up in the Haringey Business Awards 2008. Her Designs are popular with people who enjoy buying designer jewellery at an accessible price point.
