I am a Fashion graduate from at Manchester School of Art.
I am a very passionate about fashion with determination to succeed the Fashion Industry. I am particularly interested in technical aspects such as garment construction, pattern cutting and producing specification sheets. I am also interested in details on garments and print work. In designing garments my strengths lie in women’s casual and commercial wear which includes slightly sporty wear. I also have an eye for detail, as I believe this is what makes garments unique. My area of interest is the Technical aspects of garment construction, as this is how you truly know how a garment is constructed and have the skills to know how something should and should not be made I also have good hand drawing skills for Flat drawing of garments. I feel this skill is most important in industry to be able to translate ideas into professional drawings to send to manufacturers.
By taking up work experience, I have been able to build on these skills. I feel I would be able to apply the skills I have learnt from working in the retail industry along with skills that I have gained through my degree and placements. I believe in giving 100% effort, reliability, having a positive attitude, willing to learn as well as giving feedback when required.
