I am a recent graduate from the University of Delaware in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising. I completed various courses in college consisting of marketing, merchandising, buying, and management, finishing with a 3.2 grade point average. Throughout my time as a student, i was able to obtain two internships and hold various jobs during my summer and winter breaks. I was fortunate enough to gain this work experience where I was able to learn about the fashion industry. I was able to work closely with customers, learn the importance of motivating a team and working closely with your staff, learn how to merchandise products and display them in visually enhancing presentations and work with finances and company reports. I am a very motivated person with strong analytical and research skills. I work well as a team leader and take an initiative to express my ideas strongly and effectively. I was also able to study abroad in Florence, Italy where I traveled to many countries and experienced different cultures and fashions throughout Europe. I feel that my education and past work experience has prepared me well to take in an entry level position in the fashion industry involving fields ranging from public relations, marketing, sampling, styling, retail and buying. I am open to many job opportunities where I can learn more about the fashion industry.
