Job Title: Footwear Designer, Teva Brand
Location: Goleta, CA

Summary:
Responsible for analyzing fashion trends and predictions, confers with sales and management executives, compares leather, fabrics, and other materials to create new designs. Implement designs that capture new markets and increase consumer demand.

Main Responsibilities:
• Coordinates with Product Line Managers and the Director of Product/Senior Designer to design product briefs.

• Assists in the design presentation for marketing.

• Sketches rough and detailed drawings of product and writes specifications describing factors such as color scheme, construction, and type of material to be used.

• Assists in trend forecasting while collaborating with Product Development, designers as well as senior management.

• Forms strategic partnerships and communicates regularly and effectively with key accounts managers.

• Assists the implementation of corporate vision and strategies that yield remarkable levels of sales, earnings, and stock value.

Specific Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree •Some footwear experience required •4-6 years related design experience •Proficient in Mac OS, Windows, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop applications. •Ability to efficiently communicate in sketch form and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organization. •Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities •Knowledgeable in current trends and able to apply them appropriately. •Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter •Global business knowledge with cross culture agility •Excellent verbal, written communication skills and problem solving abilities •Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment •Exceptional attention to detail •Interested in the outdoor industry or activities •Interested in Women’s-specific footwear
